1. What was the structure of the entire interview process?
Ans: 1.Online Test
2.Technical Interview
3.Managerial + HR interview
2. What was the structure of Online test and how it was conducted?
Ans: The Online Test was conducted on the Interview Mocha (now iMocha) platform. There were multiple sections and they were to be attempted sequentially. First was the general aptitude section ( Quant + Non-verbal ). Next sections dealt with Software Engineering basics (MCQs), Data Structures (code), Database Management System (DBMS)(MCQs), Testing knowledge(MCQs), another general coding section.
3. How many interview rounds were there for the company, and in brief could you elaborate each round?
Ans: Total rounds – 3
R1- Elaborated in structure of Online Test
R2- Technical Interview was conducted on Microsoft Teams. Initially I was asked to introduce myself. The interviewer had thoroughly gone through my resume as well. So majority of questions were about these two things.
R3: There were two panelists; HR and Technical Manager. The interview was mostly casual and at ease. About my journey through school to college. Projects. Some basic programming questions were asked as well.
4.What sort of questions were asked in the interviews?
Ans: Technical Round:
Almost 80% of the technical interview revolved around the things I mentioned in my introduction and resume. I was asked to elaborate about my Robocon 2020 and 2021 experience and further was questioned about the coding logics of the mechanisms, base drive, controller, wireless interfacing, MATLAB knowledge, etc. Data Structures and DBMS were focused. The interviewer further tested my understanding about IOT, AI & ML and Cloud. Since the company also has a domain about Financial Market Fraud detection, I was asked about examples as a counter-question to my question about the domain towards the end of interview. So along with the old scams, I elaborated a recent stock manipulation controversy.
Managerial + HR Round:
Initially just the HR had joined the meet since the Technical Manager was up to some work. So the HR said that we’ll wait until the manager joins. Since there was silence for the time being, I tried to break the ice by asking him about his journey through college and with NICE Systems. He shared his experience with interest. Meanwhile, the technical manager joined the meet. I was asked to introduce myself. Based on my introduction and resume, I was asked about the positions of responsibilities, club activities and my role/contribution in them. About my technical project, I had to explain it in a simple way as in even a non-technical person will understand it. Further I had to brief them about my learnings from internship, schedule and my relations and experience with the employees and peer interns. A few questions related to python and data structures were asked.
5. What are some good resources used by you in your preparation?
Ans:GeeksforGeeks (for reading interview experiences), Udemy, some particular websites and YouTube channels, Aptitude books by Arun Sharma ( You can use the ones by RS Agarwal as well, it will be enough as per me for normal aptitude tests other than companies with eLitmus like platforms). My clubs and robotics team experience helped me significantly as well. Having at least basic information about the products and services offered by the company helps a lot since it reflects our interest about the company.
6. Is there something specific that you would want to tell people who try for the same company?
Ans: Having good knowledge about Data Structures, DBMS, Cloud and having a good hold over any one advanced programming language would be quite beneficial. Your projects, the way you explain them and own technical interests would contribute significantly as well. Since the company visits the campus quite early, you have to impress the interviewers by standing strong between a majority of CS background students as well. Just keep practising as much as possible and understand your own projects neatly (being a core student it would be good if you also do some own projects related to computer science to cope up). Don’t showcase much of your core ELE/ELN knowledge for the obvious reason.
